Privacy notice

Miril is a service of LINUS Software, LLC. Last updated 1 November 2026.

Without an account

  • No account, no advertising and no tracking cookies are needed to use the public layer.
  • Your IP address is used, in memory, to apply rate limits. When a request is refused by the site's safety rules, the IP address, the address requested and the reason are written to the server log.
  • Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google.

With a workspace

  • Private figures you add (lanes, capacity, know-how, workforce, investment) are stored in our database, separated by workspace, and kept until you delete them.
  • Stored results of your solves are deleted automatically after your plan's retention period: 7 days on Free, 90 days on Analyst, 1 year on Institution, 7 years on Sovereign. Usage counters are kept for a year.
  • Workspace keys are stored only as a one-way hash.

Accounts and payments

  • Sign-in is handled by LINUS Software's account service, which keeps your email address and a protected form of your password.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
  • When a workspace is created or changes plan, a notice is emailed through ZeptoMail (Zoho).

Automated writing

If you ask Miril for written narration of a result, that result — which can include figures derived from your workspace's private data — is sent to Google's Gemini service to draft the text. Current reporting on a dispute comes from Miril's own news archive and a meta-search of public news; Gemini drafts the short brief from those articles, and each sentence names the article it comes from. Solved figures never depend on either.
